Louisville Point Park

Louisville Point Park has been a starting point for cyclists for more than 20 years. The park is ideally located for anyone who wants to ride the low-traffic, rural roads of Blount County. Cyclists meet each Friday for a morning ride that has been well attended by riders from surrounding counties.

Bicycle Advisory Committee

The BAC is made up of 12 citizens from Knox, Blount, Sevier, and Loudon counties. The BAC was created in 2001 to advise the TPO Executive Board and Technical Committee on bicycle issues. The BAC's duties include overseeing implementation of the Bicycle Plan, as well as updating the Plan, and promoting bicycling as a means of transportation. Several subcommittees work on issues such as special events, media and marketing, enforcement, and bike network development.

There is also a Blount County Bicycle Action Committee that handles issues in Maryville, Alcoa, and Blount County.
